Polyurethane sweeper blades
One of our abrasive recovery systems incorporates sweeper blades to transport the spent abrasive in the blastroom. This system is very efficient and uses one small, 1.5 or 2.2kW, drive motor to recover abrasive from the largest of blastrooms.
Traditionally the sweeper blades have been made from steel or an aluminium extrusion. The problem with these 2 materials is they wear out relatively quickly when constantly exposed to rebounding abrasive, and being dragged through the spent abrasive.
Long life blades
Our sweeper blades are manufactured from an ultra tough, abrasive resistant polyurethane. Although being constantly bombarded the sweeper blade does not wear as the abrasive particles just bounce off the polyurethane. Our blades are custom made to lengths to suit the blastroom recovery requirements. We also supply replacement blades enabling customers with aluminium extruded blades to upgrade to our polyurethane sweeper blades.
