Steel on steel blast room

If you are currently sand blasting with an expendable abrasive, ie mineral slags, silica sand etc, you can reduce your blast cleaning costs by as much as 75% by converting to using steel grit abrasives in one of our purpose built blast rooms.

The most economical way to blast items manufactured from steel, is with steel grit. This tough angular abrasive can be recycled up to 200 times, resulting in a minimal abrasive cost per square meter. Blast cleaning costs decrease as the number of times the abrasive can be recycled increases.

Designed for aggressive abrasive

Our steel grit blast rooms are designed and built specifically for use with this hard wearing, aggressive blasting abrasive. Wear points are eliminated and toughened components are used to maximize life.

A variety of recovery floor options are available to suit individual requirements including full or partial recovery utilizing screw conveyors, sweeper blades or pneumatic recovery.

Efficient abrasive cleaning = higher surface cleanliness

Critical to ensuring high productivity, and work piece surface cleanliness, is the use of clean dustless abrasive. Our rotary airwash grit cleaner separates coarse waste, degraded abrasive and dust from good reusable abrasive and ensures only correctly sized and fully cleaned abrasive is returned to the blasting pot, good abrasive is not wasted and dust is not recirculated to the blast nozzles.

Multiple operator blast rooms permit speedy processing of large fabricated items. Our low energy sweeper recovery system used with steel grit provides the lowest blasting per square meter cost.
